Drake vom Haus Winheim (Jesse) |

Jesse is doing just great. He is approaching his second
birthday and is starting to settle down a little bit.
Some things about Jesse's personality that make him a
great dog are:
- He is great with
children. We exposed him to children playing when he
was a puppy. We took him to a puppy school for 6
weeks which was great for socialization. Jesse is
very predictable around children and we find this to
be a great thing with lots of nieces and nephews in
the family as well as children in the neighborhood.
- Jesse is a GREAT
swimmer. He is very natural in water. We have a lake
close to our home called Blue Marsh. When the
weather is warm, we put on our swimming suits and
take Jesse. He swims for hours and does not leave
the water until it is time to go home. This is one
of our favorite things to do with him. We think that
Jesse would have been a great water rescue dog!!!
- Jesse is a good
watch dog. He makes a big fuss about unfamiliar
noises. He is cautious of strangers but warms up
very quickly when he understands there is no threat.
He has a very balanced personality.
- Jesse is a very
active dog. We love to spend time with him and have
a fenced yard which is great. He is more active than
other German Shepherds that I have had. This is not
necessarily a bad thing, it just means that Jesse
needs to run. We are fortunate to have open fields
where we live so Jesse gets to run. He is a much
better behaved dog when he gets adequate exercise.
In General, we just
love Jesse. As he has becomes older, he knows our
routines and is very patient waiting for us to come
home. Now all he needs is a good run every day and he is
a very well behaved dog. I love walking around the
neighborhood with him in the late evening and he walks
well on a leash.
We wanted to update you
about Jesse as we felt your kindness to animals from the
time we met you and we wanted you to know that Jesse has
matured into a wonderful member of our family. He is
very healthy both physically and mentally. Also, if we
were looking to add another puppy to our family, we
would not hesitate for a minute to call you. Jesse has
exceeded our expectations in every way.

"We brought our darling Kyra (Eryn vom Haus Winheim)
home in mid-July 2005. Jodie sent photos of her and her
littermates beginning the day she was born. It was such
a thrill to be able to watch her grow. She is now 4
months old and is absolutely perfect! Extremely
intelligent, energetic, and playful - we just love her!
We highly recommend Jodie. She cares a great deal for
the breed and make certain the puppies are just as
advertised."
- Beth
"You did a wonderful job. Kyra is an incredible puppy.
She is truly different. She learns faster, she is
perfectly proportioned and perfectly marked. She is
growing like a weed and at her 16 week shots weighed
nearly 31 LBS. We took her to PETsMART last Saturday and
everyone just fawned all over her. We are taking her to
a trainer once per week and she is doing extremely well.
We are just doing sitz, platz and fuss. You won't believe
it but I was telling the trainer about a dog I called
about in the paper and he said "I've got one to give to
a good home" I said call him out. Out came a beautiful
Shepherd that I fell in love with. Some guy owned him
and I guess changed jobs and couldn't keep him. He paid
the trainer to find him a good home and he said that he
couldn't find a better home than ours so we took him. He
is 22 months old and weighs 81 LBS. He is pretty well
trained and the guy said we could bring him back for
further training if we wish. He and Kyra are the
greatest of pals. They rough and tumble nearly to the
point of giving me a heart attack. Of course he will not
replace Tyler whom I think about all the time but it is
amazing that he does much of the same things Tyler did.
It seems almost as if he came back. Looks somewhat alike
as well."

"Just
a quick note to say Bossi is absolutely great, we have
been in training and she is doing VERY well. She still
sleeps with me in the bed, she sleeps with me on the
couch she will not let me out of her sight. One thing,
she does NOT like baths, HAHA. I will send a few pics of
her tonight when we get home, that's right WE, she comes
to work with me everyday also. She travels better than
you could imagine, she has no cage in truck (Excursion),
she is free to roam, she prefers to sit in the seat
right behind me, and every so often she will reach up
and touch my ear with her nose."

Damzel vom Haus Winheim |

"I
just want to say that I am lucky to have Damzel as my
first dog. She is a VERY beautiful, smart, and sweet
creature. We often take her to a dog park after work or
send Damzel to a doggie daycare if we will be home late.
At the dog park, I receive lots of complements about her
beauty. She is very outgoing and seems know which dog or
puppy she can play with and which dog she should keep
distance from. So far, she hasn't got into any fights.
After playing, she will run to the wash station to get
washed. She loves to play with water. At her daycare,
her teacher loves her. The teacher told me that she
usually did not trust GSD but Damzel is an exception. At
home, one of her favorite things to do is to lie down in
front of us, flip over and expose her belly so we will
pet her belly. Although all the books instruct not to
pet her on her command, it is hard to resist. I will
admit that as a first time dog owner, the responsibility
overwhelmed me sometimes. As I watch her grow into a
beautiful, sweet, protective young lady, I feel all the
hard work paid off. Thank you, Jodie."

"A
few years ago, we were looking for a nice "protection"
dog for my mother. My brother was marrying and moving,
and Dad had taken a job that keeps him away a lot. We
thought, naturally a German Shepherd would be up to the
task of "protection", so along comes 'Freedom'. She was
a gift, so my brother and I went to pick her out for
mom. Little did I know, I would end up falling in love
with one of the pups myself. So, along came 'Liberty',
now know to us as 'Roxy'. These dogs are amazing. I'll
leave Freedoms brags to Mom, but Roxy is mine. We became
parents 5 months after bringing her home and again
almost two years later. Roxy adores our children. It was
my main concern, but she honestly treats them as her
own. Our son even teethed on one of her ears. She just
sat there and let him chew away! Of course I stepped in
thinking it couldn't be very hygienic to have him
gnawing on a dogs ear. The point is, she didn't even
flinch. Now, they ride around the house piggy back, and
she amuses them. Later, to receive her treat for being
so good. Then, there was the time an intruder tried to
break into our home while we were at a late movie. We
had put Roxy' in the hall and put up the baby gate. When
the intruder pried open the sliding glass door, he was
in for a rude awakening! She had broken down the baby
gate. He had to slam the screen part of the door shut in
order to keep 'Roxy' off of him. When we arrived on the
scene, our home alarm blaring, FHP was standing outside
of our home saying they weren't crazy enough to try and
go inside. Needless to say, we no longer have a screen
door, it was shredded. "Roxy' is a vital part of our
family. She is a wonderful friend, and protector. We are
grateful to have her and recommend Jodie and Gary's dogs
to anyone who is looking for a quality German Shepherd."
